Watermaker

[Conor - Toucan Ovni model: 435]

I currently have an ECH2O Watermaker installed on my Ovni 435.

Used successfully whilst completing our circumnavigation but we have not used it since returning home. It is a modular Watermaker, Belt driven and has never let me down making approximately 60 litres of water in and hour. It will need a new membrane but apart from that all the other componets are working fine. I will be selling it for less than half the cost of a new unit but thought perhaps another Ovni owner may want such an item. Hence I am offering it for sale here in the first instance.

Photos attached are best I could do, I’m afraid, as follows:
Operating panel
Filters
Membrane (long black cylinder)
Lift pump
Strainer
High Pressure pump (2 Photos)
I also have some spares for the system.
On long passages, I would run the engine for one hour each day. I found that that was enough to make Bread with a breadmaker, fill the tank with Water and Charge the Batteries. The belt driven watermaker is, I believe, twice as powerful as the 12 volt version. Hence trwice the water in the same runnin time.
My watermaker was purchased from Hydrovane and I believe that they still sell this model.

Given my actual navigations plans, I’m not interested in buying a watermaker by now , but I’d be glad to receive some pictures of your installation! ( this will be in my to-do list one day.)
Are you happy with watermaker driven by main engine?
